We loved its collapsible design, making it super easy to carry while also allowing you to control the brightness by extending the light up and down as the underlying mechanism is very smooth. There's something very satisfying about turning on this lantern by pulling up on it to extend it. It's also an amazing value, with 2 lanterns and 6 AA batteries included for less than $20. This is a must-have for anyone who loves camping. The use of AA batteries also makes it ideal as an emergency backup lamp for a power outage as you can swap out the batteries when they run out.
